Cheesy Chicken Shepherd’s Pie Recipe
This easy Cheesy Chicken Shepherd’s Pie is a variation for cheese lovers everywhere. If you like Shepherd’s Pie and cheese, this is the perfect combination. If you have never had Shepherd’s Pie, you’re in for a real treat! It’s another fun way to get your kids to eat their vegetables.
Things You’ll Need: (for a family of four)
Cheesy Shepherd's Pie
3 Chicken breasts (cooked and chopped)
Favorite vegies (frozen or canned)
Mashed potatoes (made as you would normally make them)
1/2 cup of Velvetta cheese (cubed)
Shredded Cheddar cheese
6 Cheese slices
Non-stick spray
Step 1
Cheesy Chicken Shepherd’s Pie is easy to make and delicious. Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat a glass Pyrex baking dish with Pam non-stick spray.
Step 2
Prepare your mashed potatoes as you normally would. Add 1/2 cup of cubed Velveeta cheese (store brand is fine and low-fat is fine). Stir the potatoes until the cheese is melted.
Step 3
Prepare your favorite Green Giant vegetables as you normally would.
Step 4
Grill (or bake) your Tyson boneless, skinless chicken breast until cooked thoroughly.
Step 5
Cut Tyson boneless, skinless chicken breast into chunks and spread out on the bottom of your glass Pyrex baking dish. Put a layer of Kraft Shredded Cheddar cheese over the chicken.
Step 6
Next spread a layer of Green Giant vegetables that have been warmed. If using frozen vegetables, be sure to cook them before adding to the Cheesy Shepherd’s Pie.
Step 7
Now spread a thick layer of cheesy mashed potatoes over the vegetables.
Step 8
Finally sprinkle a layer of Kraft shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes. Bake for 20 minutes (or until cheese is melted).

Finished Cheesy Shepherd's Pie
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips & Warnings
1. You can serve with gravy as you would regular Shepherd’s Pie.
2. As with any cooked or baked recipe, take caution when handling hot bake ware.
3. You can also make this with hamburger or turkey burger if you prefer.
