Easy Mug Cake

Before Winter ends, this is a great treat for a snowy evening. Your favorite chocolate cake batter baked in individual mugs for a warming winter dessert.

INGREDIENTS & SUPPLIES:
Cooking spray
Chocolate cake batter
Vanilla Icing

DIRECTIONS:

1. Coat the insides of oven safe mugs with cooking spray.

2. Mix your favorite chocolate cake batter using your favorite recipe or box mix.

3. Fill the mugs halfway with chocolate cake batter.

* You can use German chocolate cake mix for a lighter color than regular chocolate cake and looks more like hot cocoa.

4. Follow the cupcake baking instructions on the cake mix package.

5. The cakes are done when a toothpick inserted into the center of one comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.

6. Allow the cakes to cool for about 15 minutes.

7. Top each mug with a generous dollop of vanilla icing.

* If you are able to, making the icing swirl on top of the cake looks really cool!

* Serve with a spoon.

* One cake mix makes enough batter for 12 of our mugs; if you want fewer than a dozen, bake the remaining batter in a small pan.
