Edible Candle Centerpiece

This Edible Candle Centerpiece is perfect for any holiday gathering. Your children will want to help make it and your friends will want you to make one for them.

INGREDIENTS:
Confectioners’ sugar
Flower cookie with a center hole (Murray shortbread cookies work well)
Larger cookie (Anna’s Ginger Thins work well)
Rolled wafer cookie (Pepperidge Farm Pirouettes work well)
Mini marshmallow
Orange decorating sugar
Red decorating gel

DIRECTIONS:
1. Stir together 1 teaspoon water and 5 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar to make a simple icing (store bought icing will work also).

2. Dot a small flower cookie with icing and attach it to the larger cookie at the flower’s hole.

3. On one end of a rolled wafer cookie dab icing and press it into the center of the flower cookie.

4. Halve a mini marshmallow diagonally. Place the sticky side of one half in orange decorating sugar. Attach the half with icing. This is the flame of your candle.

5. Dribble a few “wax drips” of icing down the candle’s sides and use red decorating gel to embellish the base.

You’re done!
